Overview
Decision making in Health, either made by doctors or other professionals, or even by managers or patients, is becoming more dependent of the available information of a great variety of factors – biological, clinical, social or economical.
However, the collection, the production and the evaluation of that information demands a specific knowledge of scientific methodologies and specific themes, which were developed in the last few years, for example: design and validation of questionnaires and health measurement scales; techniques for the evaluation of diagnostic testing and therapeutic interventions; systematic reviews and meta-analysis; sampling methods and data analysis methods in clinical studies and health services.

Elegibility
a) holders of a graduation degree or legal equivalent by national or foreign higher education institutions;
b) holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum accepted by the program’s scientific commission as evidence of the candidate's ability to complete the program.
Selection criteria includes curricular assessment (0-10 points) (50%) considering education, professional and scientific experience; and an interview (0-10 points) (50%). Preference will be given to candidates with basic training (bachelor's or integrated master's degree) in the areas of Health Sciences. More precisely, focus will be given to medical doctors during their postgraduate training, nurses or healthtechnitians so that competences towards improvement of scientific literacy , clinical or health-services research.
